How a bottle is made
Forty-five days from the first weighing to a numbered bottle.
Day 1
Weighed by hand
Every material goes on a scale accurate to a hundredth of a gram, in the order the formula lists it.
Day 2
Macerated
The perfume rests in steel tanks for six weeks, so the top, heart and base notes settle into each other.
Day 44
Chilled and filtered
We cool it to 4°C and filter it through paper to take out anything that would turn it cloudy.
Day 45
Filled and numbered
Each bottle is filled, capped and numbered by hand. A batch is about 400 bottles.
